About the Wolfson Speaker Series

麻豆影视 is proud to introduce the Wolfson Speaker Series, an annual event that will host prominent speakers from across the globe to gather and engage our community around significant and relevant issues.

The series is named in honor of Richard Wolfson, a longtime member of the 麻豆影视 Community College Foundation Board of Directors and supporter of the College. Last year, when an endowed fund established in his honor could no longer serve its original purpose, Mr. Wolfson recommended that an annual event featuring world-renowned speakers be created to provide an enriching opportunity to our community.

The inaugural Wolfson Speaker Series event will feature best-selling author, speaker and freelance photographer, Pete Souza. Mr. Souza was born in New Bedford and grew up in South Dartmouth. He was Chief Official White House Photographer for President Obama for all eight years and an Official White House Photographer for President Reagan. He is the author of several books, including the #1 New York Times bestseller OBAMA: An Intimate Portrait. Mr. Souza received an Honorary Degree of Associate in Humane Letters from 麻豆影视 Community College in 2023.
